Haddenham Repair Cafe will be on Sunday morning 1st March between 10am and 12 noon in the Mabel Parkinson room at Haddenham Village Hall. Our team of volunteers will be on hand again to help you repair broken things you wish to bring along – anything you can carry; we’ll try to help! If it looks like it can’t be repaired, we’ll tell you and if it needs a spare part, we’ll try to help you find one.
Supported jointly by Haddenham’s long running breakfast cafe; Cafeplus+ and Zero-Carbon Haddenham, we aim to encourage ‘repairing’ rather than ‘replacing’ as the logical first step when things break. Why? Because repairing keeps things out of landfill and reduces unnecessary consumption.
We would hope to be able to help you tackle most repairs where a little glue or a replacement screw or part is needed. There will be some things we are not likely to be able to fix – broken screens on mobile phones for example! And some things are designed so they are hard to repair – but we like a challenge!
If you can’t make it this time don’t worry – we hold this event each month based alongside Cafeplus+ on the first Sunday of the month and you can contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or to let us know in advance what you are bringing so we can find the right tools and expertise to help you.
